My All Time Favorite Album
My musical tastes run the gamut. Ever since I was a child I appreciated everything from Rock to Opera, to Rock Opera. I like Jazz, Country, I’m even warming to some Rap. Not much but I have heard some interesting stuff.
Anyway, if you were to ask me what my favorite album is I’d return the question with a question.
“What category?” or “For what situation?”
Those and any other evasive replies like that are really just B*#l S&@t because I really do have an all time favorite album that I can listen to over and over again for ever and ever. It’s my guilty little secret and my wife is so sick of it because I literally listen to it every day. I have my kids hooked on it and it’s played every day when they go down for their nap and when they go to bed.
The music is beautifully peaceful and relaxing. It brings back nice memories and the musicianship is masterful.
It’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by Vince Guaraldi, performed by the Vince Guaraldi Trio.
I defy anyone to find anything bad about that disc of music. I’ve recommended it to so many people for so many different reasons. I’ve recommended it as holiday music, as good Jazz, great improv, for beating depression, music for a rainy day, music for a bad day, music to drift off to sleep by…music just to make you feel good!
I’m also happy that my kids enjoy it as much as I do. I’ll be reading a book while my kids are playing around the house and often hear one of them humming one of the tunes from the album. Just little things like that make it all worthwhile.

Wooo hooo! I’ve managed to get on here for a change. I was just writing a moaney blog post abotu not being able to get onto your’s or Peggy’s blogs. I love msuic too, a lot. I have very eclectic taste in music but this weekend we are going to watch Paolo Nuttini in concert, his new album is completly different from his first. This one is sort of Swing and Jazz influenced but I love both albums.
